Anyone in pain, to put it simply. An Osteopath is a primary healthcare practitioner and therefore trained to treat any musculoskeletal ailment- from headaches and neck pain to foot and ankle pain with everything else inbetween.

We are also medically trained to spot any underlying pathology or disease process which we may then refer on to other healthcare professionals for further testing or imaging.

Osteopathy is a way of detecting, treating and preventing musculoskeletal issues and places an emphasis on the importance of looking at the whole body, not just a complaint in isolation. This forms an integral part of ensuring our patients' long-term recovery and ultimately living pain free.

Your Osteopath will use techniques such as massage, stretching, manipulation and exercise. Working on the muscles, joints, circulatory and nervous systems together.

Medical acupuncture or also known as dry needling, is a gentle and mostly pain free way to manage and treat muscular aches and pains by directly effecting the muscle fibres and nerves 'from the inside, out'.  A recent study found dry needling to be effective in the treatment of chronic tension-type headaches.
